Today…couldn’t
resist the lovely weather, so a trip out to Holland Haven and spent the
afternoon wandering round after a morning of shopping. A fairly good view of a Kestrel
surveying his patch before taking off.
Looks like a juvenile to me. A brief view of a Chiffchaff mixing with a
few Long tailed Tits in some shrubs.
But the mild
change in the afternoon temperature made such a change, felt like Spring. A few
Bumblebee’s in flight, too far away and too quick to identify. But one thing
that I did identify lying in the sun was an Adder. Apparently the area is known
for Adders and a few have been seen yesterday and this morning. Fresh from hibernating,
so it seems.
